CIGNA will be saying NO to WLS In NH

The other day I attended the locl aWLS support group and on eof the office managers for the surgeoan office stated that as of JAN 1 2005 CIGNA will not be covering WLS for ANYONE. They do not se the beneifits. We were also told that BLUE CROSS wil be following suit. We were asked to send letters to our State reps and the Insurance Commisioners and let them know how healthier we are post op.

I was at the same session and as a result I contacted my HR Dept as our insurance renewal is in January. Sure enough, Anthem BCBSNH will NOT be covering it. I find this very upsetting as I am already in the program and also it seems to me we should have been NOTIFIED of policy changes PRIOR to open enrollment. Let the letter writing begin!
