Medicare/ NH

I posted this on the main board but should have posted it here. Have any of you had wls covered by Medicare in New Hampshire in 2004? I have a friend who was told it would not be covered. She has many health issues, some serious, aggravated by her weight so I cannot believe that it would not be covered. I am thinking and hoping that she was given incorrect information as I know Medicare's policy on obesity changed in June. Could you tell me your experience? What Doctor you had it done by?
