Hi, I've been scheduled for my psych eval this Friday. I have a package that I have to fill out. Seems to be the same things that they all (doctor, nutritionist) want - diet history, that kind of thing. any advice? thanks diane

Hi Diane, The best advice I can give you is to be yourself and be completely honest. I was a nervous wreck about the psych eval because I suffer from bipolar disorder and thought he might hold that against me. So, when I walked in I told him I was really nervous about it and we talked about it right away. It took away some of my nervousness just to let him know, rather than try to hide it or cover it up. He was really great about it. Best of luck and let us know how you make out. Kathy Open RNY 2/10/03 215/125 at goal

Diane, I was a psych RN for 20 yrs. Just be honest & don't let them freak you out. They are just people too. Are you seeing Dr Drinkwater for surgery? Dr Ydati for psych eval? IOf so he is a nice man. Accent is hard to understand sometimes. I haven't met him but have dealth with him p[rofessionally. Lookforward to talking to him when my turn comes up. Pat

Hi, yup I'm seeing Dr. Drinkwater & Dr. Yadati. Don't know why this has me spooked, I work at a community mental health center (computers), so it shouldn't be a problem. Guess it's just nerves. thanks diane
