HappyBirthday To Me

Today is my birthday. I turned 42 today. I spent the day engaging in some retail therapy....bought a new purse and a cozy terry bathrobe. Then I went to Chatila's bakery in Salem (amazing sugar free bakery!!). Got two individual sf cheesecakes (one for tonight and one for tommorrow). YUM! The rest of my family had the usual cake and ice cream. Also, I have been away from the string cheese for awhile now. I have lost 9 pounds in less than two weeks. Not bad for a post op who is 2 and a half years out. I am back to my lowest post op weight of 133

Happy Belated Birthday! And congratulations on over coming your string cheese adiction. I was wondering how that was going but I haven't been on the board lately. Can you tell me where the bakery is? Tho about the only thing I know about Salem is the Rockingham mall. It sounds like a place to check out. thanks diane

Hi Diane Thanks for the It has been tough...but I am living without the cheese Chatila's bakery is on rte 28 on the way to Derry. If you take 28 from the Rockingham Mall toward Derry (away from Methuen)...it is in the Breckenridge Plaza....where the Colloseum restaurant is..... Before you hit the Salem Super WalMart. I hope that helps. I don't go there often....just for a special occasion.

Thanks for the directions. I'm an extreme stay-at-home but knowing about it is good. It sounds like a good option for special times. Even just considering the people at work who are trying to diet. thanks diane

I haven't been on the last few days. Happy belated birthday. I hope you enjoyed the cheesecake. It is the best bakery isn;'t it? I have had a few things from there in the past & it feels sinful but isn't! Congrats on kicking the string cheese & the wt loss. Take care! PAt

Thanks Pat. That bakery is a good place! I won't make a habit of it, but it is good for special things...like birthdays, christmas etc.
