my first NH board post! string cheese addiction!
Hi folks....I am not NH person.....but I have special permission from a few of you NH people....I am almost in NH....northern Ma. Anyway...on to my reason for posting . Old habits die hard. I am grazing on string cheese....not good. It isn't a bad food in the right amounts, but I am grabbing some everytime I go past the fridge. Too many calories too often! So....I ran out of the stuff last night...and did not replace it. I am going cold turkey....string cheeseless day one....
Hey Kimberly,
I just read your profile, YOU LOOK GREAT! I would like to ask you some questions what were not in you profile just to see where I may be after a year. Hope you don't mind.
1. How tall are you?
2. Your starting weight was?
3. How many children have you had?
4. Do you have much extra skin?
5. Are you or were you in need of tt or bl?
6. Are you small, medium, large boned?
7. What was your muscle structure like?
8. Have you always been overweight?
9. Have you ever been thin?
Any questions you are able to answer would be great. I now weigh 249 after losing 35lbs. I am 5'2". I am very muscular under all the blubber. My bone structure is medium to large. I have had 4 babies (lots of skin in the belly area). I have only been thin 1 time and that was back when I was 20 and I had been on a liquid diet for 4 months. I got down to 165. I looked awesome (I do sayso myself). That is my goal. My dr.'s goal for me is 135. I think that might be too light considering my muscle tone and bone size. who knows?
Chat later,
Janie
I just emailed you with the answers to your questions. In case anyone else is intersted: I am 5"5". I started at 248 pounds. I have had two children...the youngest is 18 now. I am lucky enough not to have much extra skin and will not need plastic surgery. I always considered myself big boned....turns out not to be the case. My gyn says I am "finley boned" Who knew? I considered myself to be overweight all of my life. The only time I was ever "thin" was when I starved myself at age 19 and reached 125. Stayed there for a whole minute or two!
Hi Janie, Hi Kim. I wasn't at work the last few days. Glad to see people using the board! I think it's great that you are sharing the good & the tough things since you are post op for a while Kim. I will probably have to be very careful about cheese. I could live on it now, never mind when I have an excuse to focus on it being eay to eat! Pat
Hi Pat. I think the cheese has become a problem because I am home so much. Once the fall comes and I back at work and school...it will be fine. I have these kinds of problems from time to time with different kinds of foods. I had to ban pretzels from the house too. Day 3....off of the string cheese.
