hi
Hi Tammy,
I agree, pretty sad. I'm originally from NH, I moved to CT 7 years ago. I would have loved to walk with you and been there for support. Too bad this NH board is so...well..boring! Come on people, wake up! Be there for each other! Support one another! At the very least show your alive and flame me!
So, with that being said, Tammy, I'm a 9-month post-op and if you have any questions, or would like a friend, email me. Not eveyone from NH is so lame.

Hi Tammy,
I remember you posting some time ago, and to be honest your attitude sort of put me off as I am sure it must have with others. I have gotten a lot of support on this web site and I am sure you can too if you just soften up a litte.
I would love to be your pin pal (e-mail) if you would like. I am going to be having my surgery on July 27th. I am starting to get a little nervous about it. Last night I went to Manchester and meet with the dietition. She told us what we would be eating for the first 2 weeks after the surgery' or rather what we would be drinking. I still have not received my approval from my insurance company. I will feel a lot better when I know that is okay.
Have you had your surgery yet? Where are you in the process. Where do you go. You need to update your profile so others can see what is happening with you.
Write back, Chris
Hi Tammy. I am Celia, and I live in Nashua, NH. Welcome to NH. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but the NH board is so quiet, I don't always check in here. I will start checking in more often. I had open RNY on 6/14/04, and I am doing pretty good. If you have any questions, please ask. You can always e-mail me too. Hope to hear from you soon.
Celia
Hi Tammy. How are you? I am doing pretty good, thanks. Today I am going to my first support meeting, so I am a little excited to see if I have actually lost anything yet! lol As for what I had to eat after surgery, every doctor has different guidelines, but I was on clear liquids for the first days, while I was in the hospital. I had broth, apple juice and jello. You only get a few spoons of each, but you really don't care at that point. All I wanted was ice chips anyway! lol Then for next 3 weeks, I had those items, plus protein shakes, sf pudding, yogurt, cream of wheat, things like that. Now I am in stage 3, where I can add a few more foods, but it still must be pureed or very finely chopped, and trust me, I have learned that it has to be chopped really well!! lol
Talk to you again soon.
Celia
