Insurance queston
I got a message today to call DHMC, now they want another Physical. They are calling it a Comprehensive History and Physical. They want it to include diet history, medication list, problems(?) Screenings, diet discussions etc.(I already gave them all of these things in some form or another) and they want some sort of blood test for alcohol (GGT) before they can make me an appointment for the dietition. Keep in mind that they have had all of the records they required for over two months, now they come up with this. They would not make the appointment until they get this information. I am soooo disappointed with their program.
I am just waiting for CMC to give me the approval so I can call DHMC and tell NO THANKYOU. If anyone out there is contemplating WLS check out all the programs in the area, just because DHMC is a big place doesn't mean they are the best. The doctors may be very good for all I know but the program itself leaves a lot to be desired!
I feel my doctor has the best program out there. I am bias of course
Dr Drinkwater in Nashua has an excellent program and his office staff is amazing too. It took all of a week from my FIRST CALL EVER to get an appointment. I saw the nutritionist within 2 weeks and the shrink within 3 weeks. I am now in the process of loosing my pre-op required weight loss. It is not 10% more like 6.5% I have to take 4 two hour classes and then 2 coping skills classed and attend 2 support group meetings. It is very structured and they help with EVERYTHING! Jen, the coordinator even called my PCP for my nutritionist referel. Thats impressive. Organized too. After care is also a HUGE ppart of the program.
Do you think I like my program??? hee hee No they are not paying me to say these things.
If you havent considered them, think about it.
Good luck to you and I hope you find a program you love just as much as I love mine.
