Hey, Where are all you N.H. people?? Well, maybe SOMEONE will see this... I live right over the N.H. border and wanted you all to know that there is a support group meeting in Nashua at St. Josephs Hospital on Rt.111 that is open to everyone (regardless of who your surgeon is) It meets the second Wednesday of the month from 6-8p.m. and the last Wednesday (small but fun meeting) from 9- 10:30 a.m.Both meetings are on the ground floor in the Carl Amelio room. They have a great Bariatric program that they just started last summer. If your new, come on by and check their program out...OR if ya just don't feel like driving into Boston for a meeting! See ya there!~ Kelly Lap RNY 5/01/03(5'4" 238/224/130?)

Hi Kelly! I was told by my doctor today , that Dartmouth doesnt take referals anymore she said I would have to go to a support group , which is great if you live in Nashua. I live in Berlin. There meeting in Saint Johnsbury Vermont which is closer for me. They have a meeting there Friday. Do you have to sign up for these groups?

Hello everyone! I live in Salem, NH. I'm having my surgery on 7/15/03 at Beth Israel in Boston. I go into the support meetings there but thanks for the info about Nashua, maybe once this is over I can make it up there. I'm getting pretty nervous but I'm sure it will all be fine. Good luck to everyone else! Michelle

THE MEETINGS AT ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL IN NASHUA, NH ARE THE BEST. MY WIFE AND I ATTEND THEM MONTHLY, AND WE REALLY ENJOY THEM. THE STAFF OF THE BARIATRIC DEPARTMENT IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND EXTREMELY CARING. YOU CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE STAFF. YOU GET THE VERY BEST OF SERVICE HERE. EVERYONE IS SO NICE. MY WIFE IS 10 MOS POST OP, AND THEY PRAISE HER, AS WELL AS THE OTHER PATIENTS ON ALL HER SUCCESS. THE MEETINGS REALLY DO HELP, AND THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW TOO LEARN. THANK YOU ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL FOR HAVING THE BEST BARIATRIC STAFF AROUND, AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. SINCERELY YOURS: JAMES NASHUA, NH

Hi..I also attend the St. Joe's support meetings. No, you do not have to sign up for them. (I think Denise asked the question) I agree that the staff is fantastic. I had my first meeting with the surgeon there, Dr. Jeff Brown and was very impressed with him. Now onto the psychologist. She is booked until mid Sept...i have to figure out where to get some patience!! MJ
