Chief Maloney Memorial Run/Walk
Saturday my daughter, Amanda and my friend Kristen took part in the Chief Maloney Memorial Run/Walk. It was a 5.6 mile run. I had never run that long before in my life!!!!! What an amazing experience. My daugther, Amanda and I are in the first picture, and my friend joins us in the third picture. It was a windy day, but I managed to run more than 4.5 miles of the race. The best part was when my grandson came out yelling "I love you Bamma" and ran with me. I finishing running with a time of 1 hour 28 minutes 27 seconds! I was 1450 out of more than 2200 participants. My friend Kristen and her co-worker (woman in the white hat) finished in 1 hour 3 minutes and my daughter finished in 1 hour 11 minutes.
This weekend I am running the Barrington Peeper 5k race, and next weekend the Bobcat Bolt 5k in Durham! These should be a piece of cake!!!
Congrads! That's wicked far!
My daughter talked me into a race that I *thought* was just a 5K Road Race, where you are being chased by zombies.
But no, no, no. Turns out it's a 5K OBSTICLE COURSE race (14 obsticles man made or natural) where we are being chased by zombies.
OMG! We've been training together for about two months and I still REALLY don't think I'm ready for it. Run For Your Life Boston, and it's this Sunday.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
