can anyone recommend a good iPhone app for tracking food - calories/protein, etc?

Absolutely! Glad you asked. I LOVE "my fitness pal".You can download the app and also use it online, offering lots of flexibility.

It has a huge database of food, including restaurants, a workout/fitness log, weight log, graphs and charts and nutritional information.

I use it every day, both pre and post surgery. It helped me count my calories to lose the pre-op weight and now helps to track my protein intake.

I can't recommend it enough and have mentioned it at support group meetings and to all the nutritionists. Good Luck!

I agree...my fitness pal is great. You can see what you ate for the day or week or month. I lost 26 lbs. pre-op using it.  Like Debbie said I will continue to use it after my surgery on Monday Dec. 19th 2011.....
