RNY Reversal
Good Evening...
Has anyone in the NH area had their RNY reversed? I have been so sick for the past 3 years (my original surgery) and we can't figure out what the problem is.
I have lost too much weight (weight is now 98 lbs) even though I eat every three hours. I am always nausiated, sometimes vomiting, and hot flashes after I eat. I have had seven different surgeries connected to the original one and I am slowly losing energy and strength.
I went from being a perky semi-overweight person to a skeletal sickly-looking person. I wear a large or extra-large GIRLS.
Anyone been through this much turmoil or even had theirs reversed?

Thank you.
I have read the posts on the main board and there are a lot of people that have gone through a reversal. Almost all had the same symptons I have had and it seems the reversal was a big help. I will learn on Thursday if that is my next step. Three years of operations, hospital stays, and trying to get well/gain weight has taken a toll on me.
Thanks for your suggestion.

I am sorry to hear you are having so many problems. Can I make a suggestion? This is a complex surgery....please get the best surgeon you can...one who has done this before. I believe my surgeon has done this before... he gets all the complex cases other doctors will not touch. Believe it or not he has a ton of patients from NH and other states in New England. He also does bariatric research one day a week....
Please get a 2nd opinion before you proceed with a reversal so you will know all your options and can make the best decision for your health.
Good Luck!
