One Step Closer
I had my second appointment last week. I did it! I lost all my weight (21 lbs.) with a half pound to spare! I'm so excited!
I was a little disappointed that my next appointment will only be mid-March with the Medical Director, but I'm staying focused and just consider that MY timetable may not be what is best for me.
I'm happy to say that I have one more Lifestyle Change class, my second required Support Group meeting tomorrow night, my bloodwork is done, my Psych Eval is done and I'm awaiting a call for the EKG.
So, it looks like surgery for my sometime in April! I've been working my tail off. I go to the gym 5 times a week and do cardio for one hour. I do weight training twice a week. I stay under 1300 calories every day. I'm feeling so much better and hardly ever take naps (I used to take a 2+ hour nap daily).
And for once, I couldn't be prouder of myself. That is such a nice feeling.
Have a great day everyone!

Congratulations Debbie! You should be proud. That is a huge accomplishment. Remember, wonderful things are worth waiting for!!! Keep up the good work. The more you lose, the better shape you will be in for surgery. The Portsmouth group that I go to has the rule that if you are even 1 pound over your presurgery weight loss goal on your day of surgery, your procedure is canceled until you can lose that pound. This sounds harsh, but it is actually good, because it makes you stick to what you need to do to be successful. So keep up the great job!
