Newbie!

 Hi!  My name is Debbie and I live in Manchester.  I am going through the program at CMC and plan to have the Roux-n-Y gastric bypass.  

I have my next appointment at the clinic on Feb. 10th and I'm so excited.  I have lost all but 1.5 lbs. and hope to be there by then.. only 7 days!!!  I can do it!!!

I am very excited to meet the surgeon and get a surgery date.  Fingers crossed!

Hello Debbie, and welcome  This is a great board and I have vented, cried, cheered and been surprised by the amount people on here care about one another.  This is the best board out there.  I am glad you have taken this step and are on your way in this journey.  I am so glad I did this and so are my kids.  Keep us up to date and good luck.  Shout out if you have any questions or just need to get something off your chest.

Welcome to the program. I am pretty much on the same timetable as you. I had my first visit with the surgeon on the 25th of Jan. They were supposed to send a letter to my insurance looking for final approval. Anxiously awaiting a phone call!
This site is great. I've gotten so much info from it.

Paul, you must be on pins and needles, I can remember waiting for that call.  I think Nancy was sick of hearing from me lol, but I only called the insurance  company once.   I was approved on the first letter so that helped as well.   Good luck to you both!
