Hi all, I finally came home late Sunday afternoon and I today is my first day feeling a little better. I just want to thank all of you who sent me words of encouragement and helped pre-op with some great advice, recipes, etc.  I already feel like I've been to hell and back when I was in the hospital and I never thought it would take me so long to bounce back.  That being said, I wouldn't have changed my decision for the world because I know it was my key to a healthier and therefore happier life with my family!

Welcome to the other side.... it is great here.  I know the start feels like crap, but everyday gets better.  I think it was 4 weeks before I felt like me again, but now I think wow how much more can I do.  I am actually thinking about a 5k here at work at the end of October.  You can do this and you will be so happy with your improved health that you will forget this part soon.  I have to remind  myself that I am only 3 1/2 months out.  I have seen so many changes already.  Drop me a line if you want to chat, or if you just need a boost.  The best is yet to come!
