Nashua Support Group

just want to let everyone know, that includes you Kathy V. that this coming Tuesday night is our group at the Nashua Senior center. Dr. Jeff Brown attends, along with some of the team.
we meet from 7-9 the  4th Tuesday of the month.  Anyone thinking about surgery, pre-ops and post -ops are all welcome.

Hi Laurie,

I can't go to the meeting this month.  Our law clerk is leaving, and her going away party is that night.  It's going to be a tough week.  My judge is retiring on Thursday also.  Although I'm so happy for him to be able to enjoy this new phase in his life, it means a count-down for my job.  I will likely be without one by spring  :(

How is the -100 calories/day going for you?  I am just struggling through every day.  I think I lost about 2 pounds all month.  Two down is better than two up, but I think it's harder this time around than any other time in my life, including pre-surgery!

Oh we will miss you tomorrow. Sorry to hear about your job, maybe your judge can give you a great recomendation so you will find a new home to work in...keep the faith...

I'm not doing well lately...too busy at work, not eating right again, skipping meals...I had a trip to the hospital Friday, out of no where, I had pain in my wrist and hand so bad, giving birth was less painfull...after 4hrs and 7 x-rays they told me it was tendonitis and put me on Aleve & pain meds and gave me a brace to stablize the wrist. Getting old stinks....needless to say my weight is up 3lbs so trying to get a handle on it this week so I can at least fit into the dress I got for my niece's wedding on 10/16...

Hello ... Im Jessica, I live in Salem, NH and I had RNY surgery exactly 5 weeks ago in Boston, Ma. I would like to find a post-op support group to go to locally to me. Can you give me more information on the support group in Nashua. I need support right now from those who have been through this. Im only getting in about 500-600 calories a day and I practically live on tea and sugar free powerade. It worries me that Im having difficulty getting in my protein that I want. Im hardly ever hungry and that worries me too. Ive lost 24 lbs in 5 weeks and I feel like thats not enough. Im feeling a little down about this. Maybe its the weather. Maybe its other things around me... but it sure would feel so much better to talk to some people who can relate to what Im feeling.
