good morning planners...

yesterday went OK for me food wise.. ended up having spaghetti for dinner mostly the meat sauce ..
OK so here is my question... i had to be at work early today (got here at 4:45am) so i had my breakfast shake around 5 am well now if i keep to my regular times of eating i wont eat again till 11... that's 6hrs probably a bad idea so do i throw another meal/ snack in when i normally would have had breakfast(8-8;30) i think that's what I'm gonna do...

so here goes

iced coffee with sugar free coffee-mate

breakfast- eas carb advantage
snack1-pure protein bar
lunch-might have to take a co worker out at lunch so i think a sub way chicken flat bread
snack 2- Greek yogurt
snack3- pure protein bar
dinner- Tuesday is usually chicken night at home so i think i will go with an egg sandwich

hope every one has a great day!
Dave

Dave, you made a great choice adding a protein bar in the morning.  Good job.  I think it is important, not only to keep your blood sugar even, but so that you are not starving when you go out for lunch, and eat too much.

My plan is simple....shakes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack.  I felt a little better Saturday, but then it came back with a vengence Sunday.  Yesterday my stomach rumbled and gurgled most of the day, and I felt crappy again.  So talking with Nancy I am just going to do shakes for a couple of days to try and settle my stomach.  If I don't get better I will see Dr. Gens!

Dave,
I Think you are doing great and making the right choice by adding protein to you day.  Keep the blood sugar even and happy.

As for me
Breakfast  - Protein Coffee
snack   Atkins Protein Bar
lunch - Chili (or tuna) not sure yet
snack - Greek Yogurt
Dinner most likely chicken, it seems to be the easiest for my pouch right now.

Martha I hope everything settles down for you and you  can start eating again.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!!

Yesterday went pretty good for me. Ended up having a pear after dinner; really wanted something for dessert and thats what was calling my name!

Todays plan
Breakfast: Cottage Cheese w/ grapes and almonds
Lunch: Chili
Dinner: Chicken with some veggie

I tried to go for a run last night and failed trumendously, didnt even make it all the way around the block before the knee got the best of me. Tonight it will be the bike at the gym, and maybe try to elliptical.

Dave, good call on the extra protein bar!! That 6 hour spread is NEVER a good thing!!

Martha, I hope you start feeling better soon!! Unhappy tummy for this long can't be fun :(

Good Boy listening to your foot!! Sometimes you have to do what your  body tells you, even if thats not what you want.

I should have listened to my knee, hasnt stopped hurting since that run. I'm getting REALLY paranoid about it!

Pokes,
I have been thinking and I am wondering if you have a slight tear in your meniscus (the cartilage between your leg bones)  If it is a large tear it would catch or give out.  The pain in the front of the knee could also be a bone spur.   but doesn't sound like that .   Ice it down can you take NSAIDS?   That should help if you can take those.  I  hope all is well, and I haven't found anyone big enough to make me run lol but with my knee issues running is not a good thing.  I am now walking quite a bit at work taking a walk down by the water everyday is great!!!!

Martha, you are kicking butt at the C25K thing and Dave and I are the slackers with injuries and not pushing through like you do!! You rock!

Sookie, i was looking into it last night and I think Im going to go with the Maniscus thing too. Stinks because there isnt much you can do about it and I really don't want to make it worse, but I really need to get my run on too! Guess Ill just keep it slow and steady and watch Martha and Dave kick my but at the 5K!
