2 years ago today.....

It was 2 years ago I had my surgery!  It's so hard to believe because time passes so quickly.  I go today for labs and next Wed. to see the Nut.  I have lost half of my body weight....140lbs!!!  Everything about the surgery has been a positive for me.  I have learned not to take what others say to me to heart.  I get the, "you are way too thin" comments all-the-time!  Most of you know I was certified to teach Jazzercise in March and I am loving it!  I get many compliments after teaching and they are so nice to hear.  It's a lot of hard work, but totally worth every minute I spend on practicing/teaching.

That's about it.  Have a great day!

Lisa,
Congratulations on this awesome milestone.  You have done so well.  Did you ever think that you'd be where you are today before you started this WLS journey????  You are an inspiration to us all.  By the way, do you still go to the DHMC support group meetings?  I haven't been in months and was thinking of going back.
Have a great day!

Hi Kathy!

I really never thought I would be where I am today.  I struggled all my life with my weight and although I have bad days, the struggle is not near as hard as the 30+ prior years.

I haven't been to the support group in months either.  Maybe we can go to one together?  It would be great to see you again!

You are amazing, Lisa!  You are an inspiration, especially with the level of physical fitness you have achieved and maintained.

I am happy for you!

Wow Lisa....I cannot believe it has been two years!!  It made me realize that I am two years out also.  Not quite where I want to be still, but I have not gained it all back plus 20 pounds.

I just want to say that you are amazing.  You are a beautiful person, inside and outside, and don't let anyone tell you differently.  I am honored to call myself your friend.  We need.....NEED to get together!!!  I am in Concord, so let's try and plan.  We need to get the other "losers" together too...I miss seeing you all!

Hey Martha,

Thanks so much for your kind words.  You are doing great and as you said, you have not gained so that is a BIG plus.

I would love to get together.  Starting Sept.1 I am teaching Jazz in Concord on Wed. nights at 5:35.  If you ever want to try it, maybe you could come when I'm teaching.  It would be fun to have a NH outing.  I did try and got some responses, but it seems it hasn't panned out.

Have a great day!!
