Dr's note to order a Child's Meal

Hi,
My husband and I eat out often and I will usually order a child's meal (and still only eat a 1/4 of it, if that), for the first time last night a waitress told me that I needed a Dr's note to order a kids meal.

Has anyone had this happen to them?  I was out with 20 co-workers for a 25th anniversay celebration and was very diappointed by this, I did not want to pay for a full adult meal knowing that I would only eat a few bites.

I have heard of some surgeons giving out a card saying you have had the surgery and can only eat child"s meals I am not sure if Dr. Gens does anything like that?  I can ask Nancy when I go in on Thursday.  Glad to see you are doing so well.

I asked for mine when I saw Dr Gens in Nancy's office. They give you alittle blue card. Just ask and you will get one. :)

Interesting. I may have to make a special trip over there for a pretty blue card to keep just in case. Kids meals are always the way to go!

As another option, you might consider ordering an appetizer.  I find that the kids meals are usually high in fat, i.e., chicken fingers, fish sticks, etc.  With the appetizers, I sometimes order a shrimp ****tail or something like that, which is all protein and not fried - and the portion size is perfect.
