What did you do before your surgery?

Ok, so I know people ask about what you want to eat before your surgery, but this is not what I am talking about.  What did you want to do?  That might be hard to do right after a surgery.  I mean like going somewhere or doing something.  Hubby keeps asking me what I want to do and I have no ideas.  So I am asking for some suggestions?

I'm a boring person.....I didn't do anything before my surgery. I was already working out and following the high protein diet. Never had the urge for the "last meal". I was up and about shortly after the surgery and back to work in 2 weeks. I didn't find that there was anything I couldn't do with the exception of any lifting for a couple of weeks.

The day before my surgery, I did have my "last meal," but that wasn't as important as the fact that it was shared with my mom, two daughters and their significant others, and my husband.  We had a really nice day together.  I also took my "before" pics.  Don't forget to do that.  Take your measurements too.  I didn't do that, and I wish that I had.

I had a list of things I wanted do do before surgery that I new I could not do after surgery.  My husband called it my "Bucket List".
1.  Eat at the Wells Steakhouse and have the Lazy mans lobster with lots of butter
2.  Go to Granite Steak and Grill and have my favorite brownie sundae
3.  See a movie and have the extra extra butter popcorn

Yup its was all about food.  Funny things is, now its about walking, camping and being more physically active.  The food things don't mean as much anymore.

Like everyone else, I also had the last supper meals.  I had lobster, filet mignon, steamers, and a big party at camp where I drank way too much.  But I also waterskied as much as possible.  I also did all my laundry, stocked up on some supplies, cleaned my house...all that neat stuff.

I think it was important for me to have fun with all my family and friends before surgery.  that was the most important thing I did.
