Hi All,

Well I am back, had my band removed at the end of April and it is now the end of May...feeling ok, still have very depressing moments when I think about my band and the fact that it is gone, i had a hard few weeks after surgery, I was feeling good physically but was an emotional wreck.

One thing that I can say is the removal of band had help me to realize that I have no safety net and that I can not just think the band will stop be from eating something because I know it wont it is a struggle every day with food but I am still on the track, wont drink soda or eat a lot of bread, and one thing I know is that this had made me exercise more, with my band I lost over 80 pounds, with out it I am determined not to gain it back and still have about 40 pounds to my goal.

When I had the band I did not exercise very much now I run almost every day and life weights with my hubby.

I talked to Dr Gens and he said that there are other options but they scare the heck out of me, I hope I can be successful on my own, just wanted to check in and say hi to all, have a great Memorial Day weekend.

I am so proud of you.  You have hit a very high hurdle, but you've jumped it!  Good for you that you're still managing to stay on track and have upped your exercise.  You are doing it, and you should be so proud of your accomplishments so far.  You will make your goal because your head is in the game.  Glad you checked in with us.  Don't forget us on the boards.  We are always here for cheerleading and support.  Have a great weekend!

That is such great news.  I have been wondering about how you have been.  You can do this, just tell yourself every day.  It is amazing how exercise figures in so perfectly.  You will make your goal.  You have the drive and power to do that.

Kathy is right too, don't forget about us.  Even though you don't have your band anymore, you are still part of this community, and we will continue to support you.  So please keep us up to date.
