NH plastic surgeon?
Hi Jilly,
I had all my plastics done at Mass General. They have a residence clinic that is a fraction of the cost. I stayed over night for both rounds ( the girls and arms for one and a Tt for the other) my insurance covered my TT so not sure of the cost. But for the girls to get lifted w/implants and my arms the whole cost was 5,300.00 for everything. I had a great resident, he did a great job and my arms look amazing. I can hardly see my scares now. ( I had it done in 05)
Good Luck and if you need more info just PM me and I'll give you all you need to know...Laurie

Hi Jamie,
Call Mass General first you need to have a Blue Card. Takes 5 minutes, a few ?? to answer and they will give you a blue card number on the phone and you will get the real thing in the mail. Just looks like a credit card, but you will be asked for it every time you go. Then call back, number in hand and tell them you want to have a consult with the Residence Clinic for PS. I would make sure when they transfer you that it is the clinic and not the regular PS dept. if they send you there the cost is astronomical. They will set you up for a consult...your first consult will be with the chief resident surgeon and any student doctor's in training. My girlfriend had only 6 I hit the jackpot with 13 plus the surgeon and nurse...they take pictures, ask you questions and do a quick exam. Then you wait for your 2nd consult appt when they tell you if you are accepted into the program( everyone I know was accepted so not to worry)
The 2nd appt you meet with only the surgeon He/She go over everything and schedule you for surgery. Make sure to tell them your insurance info so you don't have to pay for the consult till your insurance approves or denies it. They will bill you if yoru ins. co. will not cover it. My ins co ( Harvard Pilgrim)
agreed to pay for my TT because I had my GBP with them and I'm sure the pics they sent them (headless of course) were frightening enough that they felt they had to help...lol
Good luck and if you need anything else just let me know...Laurie

Hi Dianne,
Sorry I didn't keep the phone number but for the blue card you need to call the main number for Mass General. Tell them you need to get a blue card number. They will send you to the right dept. Also ask them for the number for the Residency Clinic for PS...be specific with them so they give you the correct number. When I called I really made it clear that I wanted the residency clinic then I said it was for a plastic surgery consult.
The first time I called I asked for the clinic for PS and they gave me the regular PS dept. they charge full price and I almost fainted at that one...just for the TT was 18k...so make sure you tell them the Residency clinic save yourself the grief...lol
My girlfriend did not have harvard pilgrim...but you never know some times they will pay for the extra skin to be removed (not a TT) and if your not too bad that might be all you would need. But just let them submit the charge and the worst that the ins co will say is no then MGH will bill you....
