April Exercise Challenge Week 3

Hi everyone,

Well how did everyone do this week?  I did really well.  I got in 335 minutes for a total of 950.  Wow!  We went to Boston this weekend, and we walked and walked.  I even went to the gym both mornings!!!  I probably had much more time in walking, but I only counted 2 hours for Saturday.  How did everyone else do this week?

I had a great week - 435 minutes, not including the gardening I did for almost 8 hours on Saturday!  And I was great in the eating department too.  So proud of myself.  Ah, but I got on the scale on Saturday morning, and I was UP TWO POUNDS!  I can't possibly describe how frustrated I am right now.  I've been so good for the most part for the past few months, and I've managed to gain another 5 pounds - so now I have 15 pounds that I want to take off.  It's like my body is just going to do what it wants, and I have no say whatsoever.  I know it's calories in vs. calories out, but I've been recording everything (except vacation), and I've been staying at or under my allotted calories.  I guess all I can do is keep on keeping on, but I am very discouraged right now.  Thanks for letting me vent!

Been a crazy person at the gym.  Also been walking in the afternoon when it is nice.  I did 520 min. 
That being said...still not losing weight.  I think I have a carb monster living inside me.  That and tooooo many iced coffees.  They are decaf tho but I have milk in it and a flavoring (hazelnut, blueberry, raspberry).

I had a good week, lots of walking with the dog & kids.  We bought my little girls tennis rackets & my husband and  dusted ours off, and now I'm assistant coach on my girls' t-ball team.  I love running with them.  What a great way to get everyone moving!  I had 760 min total.

not the best week for me... i am having a hard time getting up in the mornings to gat to the gym (of course i am awake at 3am on the w/e) so i got in 210 for a total of 640.. gotta step it up!

There is no need to look back unless you plan on going that way!

Last week was not my best effort, I ended with 280. I need to dig in and make it happen.

Wow, everyone is getting down on themselves.  Remember, the more you work out, the more muscle you develope, and the more you need to eat to tell your body you are not starving it.  So give it time.  I am trying very hard to live and listen to my own words.  You just have to have faith that you are doing everything right, and sooner or later, it is all going to come together!

Martha you are so right!! Hang in there everyone.
I had an off week - 210 minutes for a total of 925. Just one of those weeks where nothing seemed to go right  and it's kind of continuing into this week. But it is Wednesday and hump day !
