Hi guys I'm close to the weight I need to lose to get my surgery, I just need some help with portion sizes and food choices in a day's consumption. Also let me know what stage you are in and and example of what you eat in a day that would be helpful to know after what to expect! I'm so overwhelmed by other's stories and can't wait to add mine to the boards :)
Take Care have a great weekend!

stage 1 for me was easy, i lived on taco bell pintos and cheese and also wendys chili.. i didn't puree either just chewed and chewed.. both are protein packed and a little cup of it lasts you 2-3 meals!

just curious, have they thought you what you should be eating for different stages?

Hi, I am 1 week out from bypass and I just started on soft foods, first week I did all clear liquids, broth, jello and protein drinks. The second week is yogurt, eggs, hummus, mashed potatoes and that is where I am at. I am thrilled to be eating that. It has been an easy journey thus far. Good luck.

Wow Nana  you could start solids as soon as week 2 post op? My cousin had RNY just about a year now and he wasn't able to eat solids for 4 weeks. It's so crazy how every place says different things! I go this Friday to see if I have lost my 10 lbs! It's been crazy, my gut is telling me I haven't and I just need a wake up call!
