Hello,
It's been awhile since I've posted and I also missed Feb's meeting at DH-manchester because I had to work late that night.  But as an update...still at goal and able to maintain.  I'm at 108 lbs (lost 128 total).  I had my plastic surgery for a breast lift on 1/13/2010.  I must admit...because of the amount of skin it was quite a surgery and took quite abit out of me.  The surgery was expected to take 2 1/2 to  3 hrs but I was in there for 4 hours.  prior to surgery I was a 34E and looked like I was a model in the national geographic...they were flat against me and hung down to my belly button (not pretty).  Now I am a 34C/D and they look like they did when I was 18.  I was only out of work for 2 wks but the healling has taken quite awhile...I still can't really sleep on my stomach (still a bit too much pressure).  But I am very pleased with the results...Dr Topol did an incredible job. Looking forward to March's meeting and seeing how everyone is doing.

Good for you. always nice to havethe "girls" back in place. Once I reach my goal I want to have a breast lift as well and have tehm evened out. My left one clearly hangs lower than my right and always has. If you don't mind me asking, you can also send it to me privatly, but how much was it? I heard through another support group that they do that kind of surgery down at Mass Gen. with the resident plastic sugeons for a much lower price, and she had a lot of work done there and was very pleased.
Way to go....

Jamie,
The surgeon's fee was $3800.00, the hospital fee including an overnight stay which was optional (but i'm glad i did it) was approx $1900.00, and the anesthesia fee was approx $800.00.
There are always places that can be cheaper...but it is well worth the research to go for a surgeon that is got the experience and documented good results and a hospital/surgery spot with the same.  just like your bariatric surgery...do your research.  Don't want a "botched boob job".  My surgeon did more than just the lift...he took the bottom incisions around under my arms to address the skin overhang issue because i had skin that hung over the side of my bra in that area.  Sometimes the insurance companies will pay for part if you have issues like rashes, etc.  I did not so i took out a small personal loan at my credit union.

Congrats!   You are going to love it.  I had BLB and BL and it is so nice not to "stuff my bra with myself" if you know what I mean!    I am so glad I did the lift.  Just have the inner thighs to go..(sigh).  So glad this chapter is closing.  You are going to LOVE it for summer!

I just had a circumfrencial tummy tuck with back lipo and agree..  it takes a LONG time to recoop but definately worth it!  sagging skin is gone happy :)

I'm planning a breast lift and implants too my surgeon was amazing and shes so friendly!  I like her because shes meticulous about her work.  I heard her bl ba was around $5k.  my surgery for the tummy tuck all the way around with lipo was a 7 hour surgery, total cost was around $11k but that includes a years worth of appointment follow ups as well.

heres her website if anyones looking for plastic surgery options (she has info sessions in her office)
