Getting nervous....

I don't have to be at the hospital till Tuesday morning at 7:30, but I'm really starting to get nervous today!  I think it hit me when I went grocery shopping and didn't need to buy anything for my lunches or suppers.  I have to go to the hospital at some point tomorrow to give them more blood to type and cross match. I'm thinking it's gonna be a long day.....clear liquids all day and I'm thinking I'm gonna have xanax chasers!!  LOL

You will be fine! I can't wait to hear how you are doing on the other side. Just try and focus on getting it done, over with, and behind you. Before you know it you will be a year out and happy, :) 

Will some questions help ease your stress? I thought of some to ask you over the weekend. I have my next appt with Nancy soon and I *hoping* to be within enough weight loss so I can meet with the surgeon. How does that all work? From the appt where Nancy said you could go forth and put in insurance approval, how long did everything take? Do you meet with the surgeon right away, or do your pre-op testing right away? How often did you have to go in for bloodwork ect?

I'm becoming more and more obsessed with the information as time goes on. :)

Hi Sarahbeth!  I hear you, I have been very obsessed with this site!  I have gotten SO much info from people here!  I still had a couple of pounds to lose when I met with Nancy, but she set up my appointments just the same. Pretty sure it was Monday the 4Th, that I met with her.  I'm off on Mondays so I tried to work my appointments around that.  She set things up for the following Monday which was the 11Th. I had to be at the hospital at 7:45.  They did an EKG, Blood, Upper GI and a chest x-ray.  Upper GI was not pleasant for me, but everything Else was a breeze. Nancy had given me Dr. Gens card as well and I called and made an appointment with him for the 18Th. Had to be a few days after all the tests. Had my appointment with him and my husband came too. I weighed in there 1/2 pound under where I needed to be!  They sent everything into my insurance the next day. Got a call Wednesday Feb.3rd that I had been approved! Dr. Gens office called a little while later and set up my 2ND appt. with him for that Friday and gave me my date! Had to be back at the hospital on the 8Th, more blood, urine, meet with the gas man. Cindy Donovan went over everything with me, signed paperwork.  Today, I have to go over to the hospital again for them to take more blood for "type and cross match". Be at the hospital 7:30 tomorrow morning!  sorry this is so long!  Cindy
