Hello,

I am new to all of this.  I am in the process of filling out my application.  Can anyone give me some advice on what to do or not do.  Also what to expect.  I am really nervous but excited at the same time.  Any other new people out there.

Thanks

welcome aboard.
Once you fill out the application for portsmouth hospital if that is where you choose anyways the will contact you for your initial appointment. you will be weighed and given more facts about the 2 types of surgerys. They will give you you pre op weight loss amount, tell you about jeffs classes who to call for nutritionist, and physical theripist. Also when support group meeting are.

Anyways welcome aboard. any questions just ask anyone here has gone threw it or going threw it.

Hi Heather,

Well, the best thing I can say is Congratulations!!!!  You have made the best decision.  If you are going to the Portsmouth group, my best advice is when you drop off your application, ask to get weighed in right then.  That way, any weight you lose between now and your first appointment with Nancy gets counted toward your total you need to lose before surgery.  Once you get accepted then make all your appointments right then.  You need to be proactive in this process.

Welcome, and ask any question.  No question is silly.
