Tuesday's Plan
Geez, I can't seem to get through one day without making a bad decision lately. I'm very frustrated with myself. The only good thing I've been able to do is maintain my exercising, which I know is a good thing. But the eating --- if only the days ended at 3 p.m., I'd be fine. It's after that when I "slip & fall" into my bad habits.
So my plan for today is:
B - shake
S - cottage cheese or yogurt with strawberries & a piece of toast
L - leftover roast pork with string beans and potatoes
S - banana
D - pizza (see what I mean???) I'm going to Boston tonight, and my Mom is gone for most of the day so that's the easiest thing because we're all coming from different directions at different times. If I keep it to 1 or 1 1/2 slices, I should be all right.
Water, water, water
Walk or gym at lunch
My big challenge for today is to not eat anything after dinner.

Hi Kathy,
If this was me I would not have the toast for the snack, no potato for lunch and pizza is fine but eat a side salad first and you will only have room for just one piece of pizza.
This is what I started the week before Christmas and thankfully I am down 8lbs so far. It's those darn carbs I think that make our brains make bad choices even though we know what we should pick not what we do pick. Good for you that you are exercising too...that's my downfall, hopefully my brand new recumbant bike will be fixed soon (recieved a defective Nordictrack bike and have to wait for repairs til next friday)
Have fun in Boston and enjoy your slice of pizza...yummo!!!
See you soon I hope...Laurie

Hi Laurie,
You are right about the carbs. I think I'll take your advice and cut them out of the plan today. You also reminded me that I have some leftover salad in the fridge, so I'll have some of that before my pizza tonight. Thanks so much!
I'm planning on being at the Nashua support group meeting with Dr. Brown on the 26th - see you there!

Glad you agree. This is such a lifelong challenge for us, we are bound to slip from time to time but as long as we remember to get back on the "horse" we will be fine....my "horse" is carbs, no matter what my mood I go right for the carbs. Not a bad thing, we need some carbs but good ones not bad...I just got the South Beach, Good Carbs book and it lists the total carbs for each item...it is really helping me to make better choices...I'll bring it with me on the 26th so you can take a look at it....
Can't wait to see you it's been too long...Laurie
