Great source of tasty Protein
Here's a trick I learned from my Mother when tagging along with her to the grocery store as a child:
Buy whatever beef is on sale, (Cheap roast beef, London broil, etc. ) and have the butcher grind it into hamburg. It will usually be much less expensive than the lean hamburg for sale and you’ll know exactly what’s in it and how fresh. It won’t hold together well on the grill (not enough fat) but will fry nice in the pan. Divide it into small amounts and freeze in ziplock bags. Great and tasty way to get your protein in. And for those fresh off of surgery, swallowing lean ground beef usually isn’t too difficult.
