How long does it take for Cigna to give approval??

I have been thru my 6 months of supervised weight loss with my pcp and have met with Dr.Gens. Does anyone know how long it takes for Cigna to give approval?

Have they submitted your paperwork?  Keep calling the office, and ask if they have heard.  It should not take long, but you never know....we are working with insurance companies, who don't want to part with their money :-)

I went thru Dr Campbell at CMC.  CIGNA approved me the same week she submitted the paperwork.  So, less than 5 days.

Thanks Bamma and Sox fan, keep your fingers crossed and maybe I'll have a surgery date by the end of the week.  It's been a long 6 months.

Ok as of Jan 12 they sent the paperwork, called Cigna on 1/14 and they state they haven't gotten anything.  Getting very frustrated.  Will check again on Monday but I'm not very optimistic.  Is this normal???
