People who went through Portsmouth hospital, question

I have been working very hard, but I'm afraid when I see Nancy on Monday I might still have like 2 pounds left to lose. ( down from 16 pounds!) Will she start to make any of my pre-op appts., like Blood work etc. or will they not do that until you lose every pound? I am so stressing about this, but trying really hard!  Thanks for any info!  ~Cindy~

Have you completed all the classes, etc?

My pre-op testing was scheduled before I had reached the goal weight, I was 1 lb below goal weight at my second appt with Dr. Gens, and 4.5 below at surgery.

Thank you, that makes me feel better! Yes, all my classes are done. All I have to have is pre-op tests and to lose these last few pounds!! I see you are not to far out, how has it been going for you? are you feeling good?  Cindy

i am doing ok, better every day.  It takes some doing to get in all the water and protein, but i am trying.

   when i was scheduled to have all my pre-op testing i still had 5-6 lbs to go (i was down to 2 lb to go by the testing) so you should be ok as long as you have lost some since your last visit with nancy.

Thanks Dave, that makes me feel alot better! I was starting to get discouraged cuz I didn't think anything else would happen until I lost it all, and I want it done like yesterday! LOL Good luck to you! Please stay in touch!!  Cindy

Like everyone said, they will continue the process without a problem.  Just make sure you continue to lose.  If you show up for your surgery and you are one pound over your presurgery weight requirement, they will cancel the surgery.....so keep losing no matter what.

You will do it.  Don't stress.  You have lost so much so far.  Great Job!

Thank you so much for the encouragement!  I know I can do it, I just felt like I needed to have things keep moving forward to keep my chin up so to speak...LOL crazy I know. I REALLY would like to be able to have the surgery this month for work reasons, but, we'll see.  Cindy
