Happy New Year
Hello everyone...and happy new year!
The end of 2009 brought some big changes for me. I got a new job...a great one that i love! I'm working as a clinical liaison for a Hospice. Love it...but its so different! I'm on the road, and work later so it brings challenges for time management and food planning. I haven't made it to the gym since i started the new job, and my eating has been horrible, resulting in a 5lb weight gain! Sooooo with that in mind, i am starting 2010 with a plan! Here it goes!
1) I will get a shake in everyday...that helps with my water intake as i usually make a nectar one with crystal light that is about 32 oz, and packs in the protein...i have been lacking in protein!
2) Post here in the morning for accountability!
3) Get exercise in daily, i set a gym schedule up, and i want to get back to running...i was at 3 miles in Oct...though...haven't run since then!
4) Pack a lunch daily for work, I haven't been doing that either.
5) Completely STOP eating the simple carbs i've been eating...need to get back to carbs being only whole grain sources, and much less frequently. I don't think carbs are all bad...but i need to get back to the good ones. I have been eating bagels...and they are NOT good for me! They make me feel like crap after i eat them...despite how good they taste while i'm eating them!
6) Increase my fruit and veggies...i love them, just need to make sure i eat more of them...taking the time to cut them up ahead of time for easy access is my plan.
Though i just talked about all the BAD things i've been doing...on a good note...I still consume fewer calories than ever in my life, and still make better choices than i ever have. 5lbs is nothing...and it will stop there!
Today we are having friends over...i've made lots of good choices (aside from the calzones i'm making because they are my friends favorite..and i do make a mean calzone!) I've made a turkey chili, and am going to make chicken and beef kabobs, as well as homeade hummus with homeade multigrain pita chips...and fresh cut veggies. A friend is coming over that had GBP in November...so i want to set an example with good choices :o) I haven't seen him since and he's done well...lost 50lbs already!
Wishing everyone a wonderful 2010! Though i don't post often i always read and get support here...refer to plan # 2...you will be hearing more from me...and as you can see i don't lack the gift of gab!
TTFN...thanks for all your support and good advice!
