will having a cold delay my surgery?

Ok I have been on the prev pac because i tested positive for H pylori and it is so strong that it not only killed all the bad bactera in my stomach but the good bactera too and now I have a cold I have been taking Zicam and vitamen C but I am so nervous that having this cold will delay my surgery has anyone had this problem or know if this will delay my date? I meet with the preop nurses tomorrow and the surgeon wish me luck!

I think a lot of us had colds just before our surgery.  Keep taking what you are taking, and talk with you doctor.  I had one, and it cleared up within a few days of my surgery.  No major problems with it either.

Well my meeting with the surgeon and also with the pre op people went well. everyone seems very nice and answered all my questions I am feeling better with this cold and Dr. Paculli said as long as I dont get a fever or chest fluid I am good to go. So I will be at the hospital bright and early 6am on the 30th! I am so looking forward to it but am still a little nervous about going under but that doctor says to me when I told him "if you can do 60 min cardio you will be fine you are healthy and young!" wow havent thought of myself as young in along time! LOL or healthy! go figure~! anyway thanks for the feedback it helps to have that here. I bought all my post op liquid stuff including sugar free pops! yummie :) If I am not on here again everyone have a great holiday I will post pre op and post op! thanks again!
