Hi! I am trying really hard to lose the weight I need to to have surgery.  My NUT said SF CIB in the morning, and a protein shake everyday, or protein drink.  I have been mixing both with 1% milk as I just HATE the taste of skim milk.  Is this bad? Is it gonna slow my weight loss? Also, does anyone know if Dr.Gen out of Portsmouth has a certain day of the week does his RNY surgeries?? Trying really hard to get this all worked out!!  Thanks! ~Cindy~

1) I don't think you will be able to taste the difference once you mix the skim with the protein shake/CIF.  It will slow your weight loss, but probably not enough to notice.  Add a 20 minute walk to offset the difference.

2) My understanding is that Dr. Gens does his surgeries on Tuesdays.

Good luck with your journey -

Hi Cindy,

I use Simply Smart fat free milk.  It tastes really good, almost like 2% milk.  Also Calorie Countdown, it is not really "milk" but it tastes excellent.  Sometimes I use the chocolate to mix my chocolate shakes.  It is definately worth the try.
