Back to eating plan

Hello all:
Hope everyone had a nice Turkey Day!  I remembered to be Thankful for all I have and for all that don't.
I also thought about getting back on track.  I was on OH when I first had my surgery... I go to at least one of the meetings in Portsmouth each month when I can... I also go to Jeff's staying on track group.  I know the right things to do but I need to back up a bit and go to a more planned plan, (if that makes any sense)
Holidays are very hard for me (emotions not so much food) and I've gone and put too much on my plate, both figuratively and literally.  It's not like I'm eating "more" food at one time, but picking more.  I seem more "hungry" for not good food inbetween meals.  Snackies and chocolate, then too much carbs with meals.  Not alot tastes good either.  I haven't "gained" any weight (1.-2 lbs up and down which has been steady for this past year) I'm just scared to "creep" back up.
So for now I'm back...

Welcome back Kym.  I'm 5 mos and am right there with you.   I am realizing that this has to be daily awareness (ignoring my behaviors is what got me here).  I  can now eat more than before and the head hunger has kicked up a notch... The last week and a half I  kind of let myself get distracted  with all the family gatherings, eating out, mixed drinks, and lack of exercise.  Luckily I lost -1 and didn't gain. Like you, the thought of losing control scares the hell out of me!  I know that I need to keep focused.  My plan this week is to get back  documenting my intake and implementing my regular exercise routine.  It's a journey not a race... I must keep reminding myself!

Congrats on maintaining your weight, you've done super!

Hi Kym and Cathy,

You may have seen the posts, but Kathy and I post daily our plan for the day.  We both have found that being up front with everyone about what we are eating, exercise and everything else has keep us accountable through good and bad times.  Both Kathy and I have been experiencing similar issues, although Kathy is further out than I am, and had RNY.  So we invite you to join us in posting your plan.  It is a good way to say out loud what you will do, and you will receive much support over the week.  You can post directly to our plan post, or start one yourself.
IF YOU ARE GOING THROUGH HELL.....KEEP GOING!!

Hi Bama!!!  Sorry I didn't get a chance to "chat" last month after the meeting, It's been crazy around here.
I decided to get back here but now I have to find the time...  Make the time!
You have to fill me in on the plan posting and I have to update my info and pix!  I've got class Tues night and Wed night so I'm going to shoot for Thurs or Fri to do it.  Gotta write it on the calendar or it doesn't get done.
