Hey all
I am looking for a guy's perspective on Bariatric Surgery, especially post surgery. Do you find that you have the same energy levels as before or are your energy levels lower? I'm concerned about strenous labor ie splitting a cord of firewood by hand, mowing an acre of lawn with a push mower? Is there a difference between energy levels with a RNY or Lap Band?? Any info would be appreciated..

Hey rick.

You will find you will have lots of energey after suergey. I have been in the tree and landscape field my whole life. When i decided to go threw gastric bypass I was working as a groundskeeper for a school district with 2 properties to take cae of. My responcibilitys are from running the tractor, mower, weedwe, weedwacker and tree worker. I got my job done but I was not doing it as good as i wanted. When i enetered the program I was 522 lbs. I am almost 2 years and about 220 lbs down.
I was out for 1 month, and on light duty for 1 month. Otherwise I have had more energy and can do my job better. I am even back climbing trees and I have not done that since high school.

any questions just ask
