Here we go

I have done it!! I went to an info session 2 weeks ago and now I have my 1st appointment. I'm looking at a band so I sure I'll have a ton of questions. I'm very excited to say the least.

My journey started in nov of 06 and had my surgery in january 08. Started at 522 lbs. Now I am at around 302 climbing mountain and climbing trees.

You will never regret your decision, and ask away.  I am a lap bander also. I have lost an official (via Nancy's scale) of 64 pounds.  I feel great.  No question is a bad or silly question!!  Make sure you come to the support group meetings on the fourth monday of the month (which is actually this coming Monday) at the Portsmouth Hospital.

Bamma don't worry I have been going to support groups since Feb 09 with my wife. She had a RNY in June and we have been going together since she started the program in Feb.

just wanted to be sure I thought the support groups were the last monday of the month so I was expecting to go on the 30th? am I wrong is it this Monday? If you could let me know I would appreciate it!

Hmmmm Good Question.. Now you have me wondering. Can someone else maybe clear this up?

The general support group meetings are the fourth Monday of the month.  The post op support groups are the second monday of every month.  The general meeting starts at 6:30, the post op at 5:30, and then splits into lap band and the other group (I can't remember the name) at 6:30.
