Plan for Thursday

Well, my plan is going to be a little different today because I am probably going to get a fill, so I have come prepared.  I am having my usual breakfast of greek yogurt, granola and 1/2 banana. 

For lunch, dinner, snacks I have FitSmart shakes and greek yogurt.  I also have applesauce and orange juice.  I will probably put the other half of my banana in my lunch shake and the greek yogurt in my dinner shake!!  My only worry is that I will get hungry faster, which happens every time I get a fill.  I am going to try and counteract that with supplementing my shakes with the yogurt to add more protein, and make them a bit thicker.

I will get my water in, but be very careful about when I drink as to not wash out the shakes before their time!!  

I also have dodgeball tonight, so I will be getting my exercise in also.  I am very proud of my accomplishments with the exercise.  I have done some form every day this week so far.  I believe I have caught the exercise bug again!

Hi Martha,
Your plan sounds great - preplanning and regular exercise are key.  So when you get a fill, you can't eat solids for the first day?  Being an RNY-er, I don't know the lap-band rules.  But adding more protein should help keep you feeling fuller longer.  Good luck today.

I had a great day yesterday.  What made it great is that I had eaten all of my allotted calories for the day by the end of dinner.  (They were all good, but nevertheless, I didn't have any left).  My hubby went to bed really early (8:00), so I was a little nervous about being downstairs alone - especially since I couldn't have my chocolate.  I was afraid that I would start snacking on bad stuff because I was always a closet eater, so being alone at night can be dangerous for me.  Anyway, I started knitting, even though my hands are still a little sore.  I stayed up until 11:00 and never ate anything.  That was a pretty big accomplishment for me.

So my plan today is:
Breakfast - shake
Snack - lowfat cottage cheese with cinnamon raisin toast and smart balance margarine
Lunch - veal parmigianna leftover from last night with high-protein spaghetti and salad with Ken's spray dressing and a few raisins
Snack - a couple of medjoul dates
Dinner - homemade chicken soup and maybe a grilled cheese sandwich
Snack - my square of chocolate
Water, water, water
Fitday
I don't have a walking buddy today so I'll either walk alone (with my iPod) or go to the gym.  It's so beautiful out, that I'm inclined to just walk solo.
