Plan for Wednesday

Mornin' all!

I realized today that the last two days have not been too difficult for me as far as following my plan goes.  It just feels like I'm back to my good habits all of a sudden.  I sure hope it lasts!

My plan for today -
Breakfast:  Shake
Snack:  Either Greek yogurt, blueberries, granola & flax seed 
               or
               Pineapple & cherry light cottage cheese with a slice of cinnamon raisin toast and 1 tsp.
               Smart Balance margarine
Lunch:   Chicken salad (with Miracle Whip, onion & celery) on a whole wheat Arnold Sandwich
               Thin and a cup of Progresso Light Vegetable/Rice soup
Snack:   apple
Dinner:  ??? (DH is not going to be happy.  I forgot to take something out of the freezer, which
               means that he'll have to *****lthough when that happens, he usually makes the BEST
               suppers!)
Snack:  dark chocolate square or 1/2 c. of light ice cream

Water, water, water
Write it in Fitday
Walk at Lunch

ALSO:  On Discovery Health tonight at 9:00, Big Medicine will be on.  I guess this is a test to see if there's enough interest to tape a third season.  I'll be watching, and I hope you all will be too!

Hi Kathy... I was thinking I was back to my good habits also, until today.  Plan went right out the window.  I don't know what started it, but all morning I struggled.  It could have been that I was alone in the office this morning, but I don't know.   So I got the slimes twice for eating too fast.  About the only good thing I am doing so far is drinking all of my water.  So now, I have glued my butt to my chair, and not moving....I a just so upset with myself.

I am going to the gym tonight, so I think it is an extra something tonight.  I go to the doctor tomorrow...although probably would not have been a bad thing to have it today. 

Well, back on track...why is it so easy to get derailed?

Martha, just remember that presurgery, we would have been derailed for weeks before getting back on track - you did it today within just a few hours.  So don't be so hard on yourself.  We're going to have days like this for the rest of our lives.  You just gotta follow the 5 second rule.  It's a rule my daughters' softball coach used to make them follow.  If they dropped the ball or made some kind of a mistake during a game, they had 5 seconds to be upset at themselves about it.  Then they had to get their heads back in the game and move on.  That's what we have to do too.

Hang in there - you're doing great.  You're drinking the water, going to the gym, and realized that you were off track.  The rest of the day is going to be a breeze for you!
