Flu or Something Like It
I've had a tough week with some kind of bug. I never really had a high temp, but had all of the aches, pains, headaches, etc., associated with a flu. My PCP told me to stay in bed, drink plenty of fluids and take liquid Tylenol. Today is the first day I've felt almost normal in about a week.
I saw on the news this morning that PRH isn't allowing children under the age of 12 into the hospital. Concord isn't allowing children under 18 in the maternity ward. I know Exeter is doing something similar all because of H1N1.
Hope we all remain well during the coming months!

My son who is a freshman at UNH came home with the Swine flu on the FRIDAY before my surgery. It was rampant at UNH and the tested cases were all H1N1. He was put on tamiflu and he basically stayed in his room. I wore a mask around him, disenfected the heck out of everything and washed my hands to the point of overdryness. I was also put on Tamiflu as a precaution.
I did not come down with it and had my RNY on Nov 9, though I still continued the course of Tamiflu to completion. It might not hurt to get on it if you are having surgery next week. Good luck..Suzette
