Kathy and Martha's Plans....and who ever else wants to join in!!
I have to say that doing this has motivated me to do better. I went out at lunchtime, and walked 9 laps around the commons here in Rochester. That equals 3 miles. I have been sticking right with my plan for food, and have not strayed at all.
So Kathy, you have put together two days, and I have put together 1. So now we just have to keep this going!!

thanks Lisa,
Like Kathy said, you can pop all you want. I know this is going to be good for me and Kathy. I know I work so much better if I am accountable for things. It is nice to speak out loud sometimes. We have all been doing this for a while now, and it is so easy to fall apart, take things for granted, and not work as hard.

I'm glad you guys are doing this, it helps me to know what I will be eating someday. I had surgery on Monday and I know I am not drinking enough. I can only manage about 8 oz of water a day maybe 4 ounces of skim milk with ff carnation instant breakfast and a couple ounces of broth and that takes me all day to do. I did manage to eat a teaspoon of sf pudding. I can't wait to eat real food again. I am definatley having a problem with protein shakes, they make me feel overly bloated and kinda sick. I have to find some other form of protein to add ASAP. My belly is still really sore and so bruised and i am still bloated from the surgery - I gained 13 pounds in the hospital - what a set back!! Not really - I am down 10 since I got home Wednesday, just can't wait for the bloating to go away.
So thanks again for those of you who post often, it is great to know you are there if I ever need anything and hopefully some day I can be there for you and others!!

Hi Gayle,
This too shall pass!! It is hard the first few weeks. I wish that the doctors would tell all their patients that they will gain during their hospital stay. It is all the fluids from surgery. You will lose it very soon. Meanwhile, make sure you keep a water bottle, or container or something with fluid in it with you all the time. Then just keep sipping. Just sip all day long, and pretty soon you will be drinking two bottles of water. This is so important because you do not want to become dehydrated.
I use a protein shake called fit smart. You can find it online. If you are having a hard time, I will find a link for you. I also can get it at herbal path, but you might be able to get it in a local health food store. I really like it, and I hate protein shakes!!
