Feeling Better
Good morning,
I had a follow up with Dr. Davidson yesterday regarding my BA and inner thigh lift. He said things are looking good. He took the stitches out of my inner thigh incisions. What a difference that made. I still hurt there, but I feel so much better than I had been feeling. He said that it may still take a month or so to heal completely, but as long as I feel like I'm making progress (which I wasn't feeling before yesterday), I'm okay with that. (BTW, I'm having no problems whatsoever with the BA and, in fact, I'm really loving the results there!)
Have a nice day!
Kathy

I went with 400 cc's (silicone gel implants). That brought me from a AA to a full C/D. I used to be a B (or C when I was pregnant), so I'm a little bigger now, but I love them! It's funny because they don't move around - they're just perky!
I really stressed over whether I had chosen too large an implant prior to the surgery. The doctor, his PA and secretary all kept telling me that almost every patient who has it done wishes they had gone bigger. I was so nervous about what I had chosen the first time that I went back a second time to look at the implants again. His wife happened to be there and she helped me out. We ended up going with the same size that my husband and I had originally chosen. I'm very happy with the size that I chose.
If you decide to have it done, you would do yourself a disservice if you didn't at least have a consult with Dr. Davidson. I really like him a lot. Not only am I happy with all the results so far, but he's so approachable and down to earth. I think his prices are very reasonable compared to other plastic surgeons, too. I'm happy to answer any questions about him and/or the procedures I've had. If you ever want to meet with him, I have his card.
Sorry I wasn't too talkative on Tuesday after the meeting. I was pretty uncomfortable and just wanted to get home. But it was good to see you. You look super - like a person who has never struggled with a weight problem!

Thanks for the info. Kathy. Sounds like you put a lot of thought into the size. I'm glad you're happy with them. When/if the time comes for me, I will get his info. from you. Right now I know I couldn't afford it. It seems every cent goes to something for the kids....
I could tell you were sore on Tue. Thanks for coming to the meeting! It was nice to see you there again.

Kathy,
It was good to see you again the other night. A friend of mine had a LBL and thighs done in Feb. She said hands down that the thighs were the hardest! She also had problems with pain and having her seams opening up on her. On the plus side, you look great! Hope you mend quickly! I'm sure next summer you'll be very happy with it all as you show off the new contours in a new bathing suit

Hey Girl so glad to see you are feeling better. Can't wait to see you. Dr. Brown is up and running and will be starting to have his support group in Nashua again. Just finalizing the place and then he'll let Monique and I know when and where.
We are still going to the CMC post op group the last Wednesday of the month, hope we get to see you there....

Hi Laurie,
I want to go to CMC, but every month it seems that something gets in the way. I am going to try again this month, but the 28th is my Mom's birthday, so I don't know where I'll be. Keep me posted on Dr. Brown's group, too. I've just about had it with Tufts. I love that group, but their billing procedures are so screwed up, that I don't even want to go there and incur any more bills! (I have to pay for that support group.)
Talk to you soon!

Hi Kathy,
You have to pay for a support group? OMG are they crazy? Do the doctors at least go to the meetings?
Monique & I are spoiled, Dr Brown is so good to us. I spend 90 minutes with him at his new office, catching up and talking about my still ongoing stomach issues. Monique came with me and we all had a great visit. He's looking for a new GI Doc for me, down in Stoneham...but I'm gun shy with GI Doc's so he's checking her out for me first. I'm hoping we see him tomorrow at Church, to find out about the support group so I will keep you posted...we love having you in our group...see you soon...Laurie

Tufts also has a free support group also, but this one is a controlled group - always the same people, small group, with the phsychologist moderating. I do get a lot out of it, but the billing is so screwed up!
I'm sorry you're still having stomach issues. How frustrating that must be for you.
How's Monique? Please say hi to her for me.
