I thought that tonight offered more options than the plastic surgeon last year. I liked the idea of skin removal, and he offered more on the breast reduction. He did talk a bit technical at times, but for the most part the presentation was good. As far as toning with a lot of exercise and weight, I think it is possible, but not to the extent that BC would benefit. He is talking more of body sculpturing than toning, and those are two different animals. The issue with most of us is lose skin, which no amount of exercise will help. I think that is what he was trying to get across more than you cannot get a better body with just exercise. Additionally, you have to keep up that regiment of exercise and weight training in the amount that will keep that muscle tone. I am not sure if that is possible for many of us. You have a much better chance of having the surgery last with minimal maintenance than trying to maintain the schedule of exercise needed to keep the tone that you have achieved. I might be wrong, but that is what I got out of what he said. Remember, he is in the business of making money off of plastic surgery, specifically body contouring, so he will pursue that over anything else. For the most part, I thought it was quite informative.
I do agree It was very imformational I did get a lot out of it I think the scary part for me is the scars but I guess I will face that challenge when I get there, on another not I am sorry I didn't get to meet you in person I did not even see you in the crowd! Next time I will be sure to look for you to say hello! take care..

I found it fairly informative. I've been watching reruns of "Big Medicine", so I wasn't too surprised by the information regarding scaring. I appreciated that while he was technical, he did pause to answer questions during his presentation.
It was also good to hear from someone who's had some surgery and what she went through.
My PCP has already started documenting the rashes I get under my stomach; I don't know if I could live without a belly button, though
