Hi all, got my date!
I had my gallbladder removed last year @ Elliot by Dr. Gould. He was very good, very professional. The hospital is excellent. I remember that the med/surg floor was full so I recovered in the very sparely populated pediatrics, in my own room. That was great...though, I was at the end of the hall and there was very little noise, only foosteps. That was a little creepy. But I take the slight creepiness for a private room anyday.
No, I am having my RNY @ CMC. I really like the program through the Obesity Treatment Center. It is just a better fit for me for this treatment.
You and your sister must be getting anxious and excited! You are less than a week away to your new beginning!
Yes we are very excited! Dr. Gould is doing our surgeries. He seems nice, I got him to laugh a few times! hehehe ;)
CMC is so nice, I just went there for a stress test (everything came out fine) and it is so nice in there. I was super impressed with everyone involved. Good luck with everything.
I just can't believe we are so close. Months and months of prep. To see it all pay off is amazing!

You must both be very excited! So Sara is first then Sue? Was that your birth order too?
I am in a weird phase right now where I am so tempted to "go crazy", especially with all the halloween candy that is out in the stores. I wonder if these urges are "normal" pre-op, before going on the pre-op diet. I think I've read somewhere that it's called "last supper syndrome". It's sort of like, I made it! I got a date...now let's celebrate. I haven't been perfect but I haven't gone crazy, either, which is good. I'm not gaining weight and still slowly losing but I am afraid I might "lose it" and go nuts.
ARGH!! This must be a normal "phase" and hopefully, these temptations and evil eating thoughtts will go away soon.

yes, actually I was born first, so this works out nice. A re-birth for us both!
I think the candy urges and all of the cravings are normal....I know all I wanted was french fries right before i went on the liquid diet. Seeing all that halloween candy at the store has been driving my sweet tooth CRAZY!!

Today is the day!! In 15 minutes I leave to pick up Sara and then we are off to the hospital!! I think I slept for a total of an hour, I am sooooo excited to start my new life and I'm pretty sure I felt every emotion possible last night. My brain is so packed right now, I am so looking forward to this.
