hiking in Utah !!
I have just returned from doing something I never thought I'd be able to do. My husband, myself, and my brother just took a hiking vacation to southern Utah. We hiked for 5 days in Bryce Canyon, the upper Grand Canyon, and then 3 days at Zion National Park. It was so incredible to be able to do the "strenuous" hikes that went up the sides of cliffs like Angels Landing at Zion. The views were incredible. There was still quite a bit of huffing and puffing but I did it. I was a little worried about eating out for every meal but I brought carnation instant breakfasts to have in my hotel for extra protein and I brought protein bars for the hikes so it worked out ok. Had gas one evening but other than that faired ok food wise. I also lost 2 lbs during the vacation for a total now of 111 lbs gone.
