Are you drinking it cold?  If so, try it at room temperature.  I know many with RNY who cannot drink cold water.

I had a hard time drinking water too (in the beginning.)  The best advice I could give you is to sip, don't guzzle or even take a big sip.  The smaller the better.  It does get better.

Small sips worked for me... All day & All night.  It gets easier as time passes.  I am 7 weeks out and now I can take a full mouth full at a time.  Keep at it!  :)

I also found it went down easier if I put a slice of lemon in it.  The other thing you might try is plain herbal tea.  It took me a whole year (to the day) to get in 64 oz. in one day.  So don't give up.  The water is VERY important.
