You guys are great - thanks for the good thoughts.  BUT I'm not having surgery tomorrow after all.  Seems the anesthesiologist is not comfortable with me having the surgery in the doctor's office because I had a heart attack 10 years ago.  So now I have to go to Newton-Wellesley Hospital to have the procedure done.  It will still be outpatient, but I can't have it done there until September 14th!  I was very disappointed to get that news from Dr. Davidson last week, but I guess it's all about my safety, so I'm over it.  It will happen, and that's all that matters.

So what about all this heat?!?!?!? I'm loving it because we waited so long for it to get here, but now I'm having a hard time motivating myself to get out and walk.  I should just walk to the gym at lunch and work out there for a half hour in the air conditioning and then walk back, but my friends are walking for the full hour at lunch.  But then if I do that, I know it will be a much slower walk because of the heat, so I'd probably get more of a workout going to the gym, but I like the comeraderie of the walk.  Don't know what to do!

Anyway, what I need to do now is get back to work!

Well, at least they're looking out for your safety Kathy.

I think I would opt for a walk to the gym and exercise there in the AC.  There will be other, less humid days when you can walk with your friends.  WMUR just said the heat is very oppressive.

Better being safe than sorry!  The 14th will be here before you know it!  I will be thinking of you then :)

I say definately go for the gym.  You will have a more productive workout.

I am glad that the doctors are looking out for you.  It is for the best, and as you know...good things are worth waiting for!!

Well, I ended up taking the walk.  I almost didn't do anything, but my friends came after me.  We still walked a pretty good clip.  I brought a huge water bottle with me and drank the whole thing.  I'm glad I went.  I'm thinking that tonight I may hop on over to the neighbor's pool for a dip too.  We only have air conditioning in the bedroom, so the rest of the house is pretty hot.

Right now, I'm enjoying a lobster salad sandwich!  On Saturday, my husband went fishing with a friend who happens to also have some lobster traps.  He came home with SEVEN lobsters.  He cooked them all on Saturday night.  Yesterday, I cleaned them and shared them with my Mom and my daughter over a bottle of wine.  I had one lobster tail left, and it was just enough for my lunch.  Yummy!

Sorry Kathy but better to be safe than sorry. I give that Doctor credit for wanting your safety to come first. It will hopefully be cooler for your recovery time in Sept.

I'm melting from this heat. Swan's is always a freezing 67 degrees so work is the best place to stay cool but once I'm out the door, aghhh...no motavation for me to walk or do anything.
Oh well fall is on the way and I love walking in cool crisp air.

Take care and hope to see you soon...Laurie
