Sliming? Will it get better?

I know I'm the root of this evil... but will it ever get better?  I've done it 3 times so far.  Last night was the worst.  I know it's because I'm not chewing or relaxing while I'm eating.  I went to dinner with a friend last night and decided to have sweet potato and a chicken (not so) tender.  She was talking to me about marriage problems she's going through and appearantly that really messed me up inside.

I ended up having to throw up about an hour after eating since all I could do was produce saliva... so uncomfortable.  I'm only 5 weeks out and need to watch out for those dry items and sticky situations.

I tried to take some meds when I got home, crushed and had them with about 3 oz of milk... didn't go down at all and came back up on me.

How much damage is it doing when I throw up?  Should I call the doc's office or just slow down, eat right and relax?  I don't want to mess up what I've accomplished so far.   I was thinking of keeping it all super smooth foods for today to help fix what I screwed up last night.

Will it get better over time and do you think I damaged anything?

It does get better if you slow down and really chew, chew chew. I been having a lot of PB issues but once I started chewing everything until it is like minced in my mouth then I swallow. All the books say chew everything at least 20 x before swallowing. It will get better but you have to really think about your food choices.

You have probably not screwed up anything as long as you do not do this repeatedly!! Restaurant chicken tenders are usually breaded and deep fat fried -- definitely a bad choice at this stage, and probably not the best at any point in the future. If you can get them broiled without the breading they might be fine, but you are early out yet, so stick with soft easy proteins!!!

If you are worried call your doc, but whats done is done, and I am confident you will be fine -- just do not make a habit of it :)
