How long between approval and surgery?

For those who have had surgery in Portsmouth - how long between being notified of your insurance approval and surgery?  My DH got his approval today (4 weeks after his initial visit with Dr. gens - they told him it would be 5-7 days!!!!)

DH surgery certainly at the top of the priority list, but I need to start scheduling some things that have been put off, waiting for his surgery date.

It was about 5 week from approval to surgery day for me.  They could have squeezed me in a little earlier- but I had scheduling conflicts.

Got the call today!

Surgery scheduled for 8/18.  That was quick!

Congratulations! 

My initial date was with 2 weeks after approval, but all of my bloodwork didn't come back in time so we had to reschedule. 

That is really exciting!

Thanks Julie - we are excited and nervous.  It just seems so much more real now.

I had my appt with Jacquie today, we talked about when I was hoping to have my surgery.  I told her November is good and she said I would probably get a date sooner than that!  Yikes.

Except with my job, I might have to hold off til November, I do accounting work and the 45 days after a fiscal quarter are the busiest in my dept. (So October 1 - November 14).

It will come fast enough, I am sure
