Newbie with an "almost" surg date & Fills @ OTC, CMC
Thank you all for the advice! Yes, I know that many negative posts tend to be individuals who are having a tough time. Those who are doing well are out living life, so don't post as much.
Niki, I've seen you at the pre-op meetings. You look amzingl; excellent role model.
I am getting very excited. I have one more week of Lifestyle Choices (wonderful class). I see Dr. F on Aug 20 and Dr. Campbell Sept 21.
I have United Healthcare insurance and so far, things have been smooth. Their only requirements are BMI between 35-40 with co-morbidities and over 40 without co-morbidities. I have no co-morbities but I am actually fairly close to the 40 BMI. If I lose another 5 pounds, I will be below 40 so I need to actually "maintain" weight right now...which, is very hard to do! I know that OTC uses the intake weight to submit to insurance but I am taking NO chances and do not want to be below 40 when I see Dr. Campbell.
Pam, thanks for sharing your experience. If you were filled during surgery, I would expect the same. Thanks again for everyone's feedback! Suzette
