New adventure
So hubby and I went up to Colebrook this weekend with my daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and two friends. We had a blast four wheeling. Brought the pontoon boat out on First Connecticut Lake, and then spent Sunday morning, looking but not finding moose! On our way back from four wheeling, we stopped into Cote's Sporting Goods, and they had a sale on kayaks.....so we bought two. One new (mine) and one used (hubby's). I cannot wait. We are already planning our first trip up the Pine River to Ossipee Lake next weekend. We are also planning our next trip to Colebrook to kayak East Inlet in Pittsburg. So I guess I had better get into shape soon....
That is so great, you will love it! Our oldest son just got his first job in Errol right across the street from Cote's He will be staying with my mom at camp for the summer right on Akers pond.
you will build up your arms and burn calories galore :-) and to do it together even better.
keep it up and have fun

OMG, I was up that way too. We were camping at Coleman State Park in Stewartstown. The weatehr was just aweful! We've been in Cote's several time to rent ATV's and go 4 wheelin, just love it. we usually go over to Signal Mountain. We also have our own kayaks and I tell you, there's nothing like being on the water in the kayak. My husband calls me the water bug. It's great upper body excersize too. I'm just concerned I won't be able to enjoy it that much this summer one because of the weather but two because I'll be having the lap band on 7/20. My husband is a contractor and is up in North Conway building a house for a client so we only see each otehr on the weekends. One w/e he comes home and then the other w/e I go north and stay with him. He's staying in a cabing in Tamworth. Sounds like we have a lot of outdoor activities in common. How have you done since your surgery? How much have you lost?
You were right down the street from us. We were at Diamond Peaks on Route 26. The owners are friends of ours, and we always stay there. You should be able to do some kayaking in late August/September. Just ask your doctor. I was feeling much better by then. I have lost 60 pounds (38 since surgery). Been in quite a stall lately, but not getting discouraged. I have kept it off, so that is a big plus for me. Still adjusting the band and started losing after my last adjustment. Just taking it slow and easy. We have a seasona camp in Center Ossipee on Big Dan Hole Pond. Terrace Pines Campground. So looking forward to kayaking around there also. Now if we could just get some sun to dry everything out!!
